Recruitment podcasts and videos have become popular, and many recruiters are using them in their new arsenal of methods to connect with viable candidates. More of an impression can be created for the recruiter by hearing your voice or viewing you in a  video than by simply reading a resume on a website.   In the next decade, the majority of  interviews will be conducted online.
For example, if a company on the East Coast is seeking a Vice President of Marketing, they can narrow their search down to eight candidates and interview all of them regardless of their locations via a webcam.  This is more cost effective and quicker.  Then they can narrow their search to the top two or three contenders and bring them to New York for final interviews. If a company is in New York, and they're looking for a Vice President of Marketing, they can narrow the search down to eight or so candidates.   They can interview these candidates via a webcam.  After the search is down to the top three candidates, then they can bring them to their headquarters. The video resume debate is hot and it will continue to grow in popularity over the next few years.
