Homeless Veterans Stand Down

Event Chairpersons: Cathy Claussen and Bob Heller

Rolling Thunder Colorado Chapter one members Cathy (Gretchen) Claussen and Bob Heller are working in conjunction with Northglenn Elks #2434 and South Broadway VFW #2461 on gathering donated coats for the Veterans Stand Down November 12, 2009.

As stated on the flyer attached “each November the National Guard Armory located at Franklin and 58th in Denver, opens its doors to all Veterans providing several services from health to legal, along with providing some necessities to stay warm and clothed while homeless through the winter months here in Colorado.

These members have set up centralized drop off locations at both the North and South sides of Denver to make this a more efficient collection drive this year.

The last day for collections to be taken will be November 6th, 2009.
