Production Company is looking for a military family for a documentary - Los Angeles area
We are interested in filming a 5-minute documentary that follows an individual as they return home from Iraq and are reunited with their family. Our goal is to tell an inspirational story that captures the sacrifice of both the soldier and his/her loved ones and also the tremendous joy of a homecoming. The documentary will be broadcast on a website run by our production company.
We would love your help locating an individual to participate in our project. We are especially interested in a soldier who lives in the Los Angeles area, has a close-knit family and a child between the ages of 4 and 7. Since our documentary is so short, we would only need a single day of filming. Below please find a brief treatment that should explain the type of story we are looking to tell.
Our documentary will tell the story of a close-knit family who has sacrificed for their country while the father/mother is stationed in Iraq.
Through interview, personal photos and home video footage, we will get to know a family that loves and depends on each other and learn how they coped with the absence of a loved one. When the soldier returns home, we will be there as he/she is greeted by his/her spouse at the airport. This emotional moment is second only to our story's climax, when the returning soldier surprises his/her child at school. When the child rushes into the soldier's arms, we will share in the emotion of the moment as the family is finally reunited.
