Voted “Top New Male Vocalist” at the 37th Academy of Country Music Awards, Phil Vasser has combined cut-to-the-heart songwriting with a solo performance charisma that dazzles fans and critics alike. As a singer, songwriter and performer, Vassar is artistically a triple-threat. He first exploded up the charts and out of America's radios with his self-titled 2000 Arista Nashville debut. That CD yielded the #1 single "Just Another Day in Paradise," as well as the Top Ten hits "Carlene," "Rose Bouquet," "Six-Pack Summer" and "That's When I Love You."
Vasser has shared stages with the biggest names in country music including, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney and Jo Dee Messina. Vassar is a complete artist whose performance rings true in every setting. He draws artistic inspiration from his store of current and past experiences. His own personal influences run the gamut of country, pop and folk, but regardless of genre, they all share one commonality: honesty.
Stephen Cochran's life on his way to his fiery debut release is about as real as it gets. Always a patriotic family, the Cochrans, like a lot of Americans, were forever changed by the traumatic events of 9/11. The music would have to wait. Stephen Cochran knew what he had to do.
“The way I was raised was to be very thankful to this country for being able to do our dream, which is music,” Cochran says. “So to stand up and defend it? That's our honor.”
Cochran joined the Marines' light armored reconnaissance division and headed straight to Iraq. He returned safely, but wasn't so lucky on his next overseas tour – to Afghanistan. After losing a good friend to enemy fire, Cochran returned home with a broken back. He was paralyzed for eight months. After recovery, he had a newfound determination to make his country music dream come true.
“I love the Marine Corps,” Cochran says. “Everything they did for me structured my life and gave me the drive to know that I can do anything I want to do.”

The Tribute to the American Veteran: is a haunting, climactic, sound that brings unforgettable honor to the American Vet. “D “ has over 60 songs and instrumentals published for radio and TV, including NBC & ABC. Not to mention two scored documentary films. “D” wrote the tune “Charlie Hustle “ for ABC Sports when Pete Rose broke the record for the most hits in baseball. He also made Cashbox Magazine’s Top 100 Singles in the nation, ( 1991) with the song “American Vet”.
History of the song: The song American Vet was first written in 1981 as a tribute to the Vietnam Veteran. Because of the Vietnam controversy for years no record company would publish the song.
Then in 1991, 10 years, after it was first written, the Gulf War came about and "D" changed the lyrics to American Vet. It was picked up by Major Chord Records.
D’s father Richard, was a sergeant in the Army-Air Corp for 4 years during War World II. While D’s mother, was the youngest and only daughter of 11 children. The military was a vehicle for her brothers to escape the poverty they grew up in and to receive an education on the GI bill. Eight out of the ten brothers served during War World War II while six of them were in combat. They fought in the South Pacific, Battle of Bataan, Italy, North Africa the Battle of the Bulge and throughout Germany liberating several concentration camps.
