Over the past few months, Bob Calvert has spent his time traveling overseas to capture the hearts, thoughts, feelings, emotions, and prerogatives of United States soldiers serving our nation in Afghanistan. Throughout his time there, he has interviewed many different soldiers and is sharing their experiences with us via short videos. This is an exceptional opportunity to get an insider's view of what our men and women endure on a daily basis and to understand, first-hand, the extent of their good deeds as well as their longing for normalcy and their families. Our soldiers face challenges we do not, such as wondering if their children are receiving a good education or if they will even be able to watch them graduate. They also harbor many of the same worries we do, especially when it comes to financing for school or finding a job when they return.
These candid interviews frame the mindset of our soldiers serving in Afghanistan and the bravery they exude each day. Bob encourages MilitaryConnection.com to share them with the world in hopes of reaching our military and civilian communities a little further. Check back often for more videos and enjoy “Talking With Heroes.” You can also visit Bob's website for these and other videos as well as more information on his journey.
