The spectacle of Independence Day is now a memory for another year, but the celebration always reminds me that we live in freedom because of the sacrifices made by those who serve. The United States is truly the land of the free and home of the brave, and we are all fortunate to live amongst everyday heroes. The men and women who don our nation’s uniform make up an unbroken line of sacrifice that has and continues to make this country great. I encourage everyone to remember those who serve in the military, our veterans and their loved ones, 365 days a year.
