Tell a Friend

As we approach Labor Day, it’s important to remember that while most of us will be enjoying a three day weekend, we all benefit from the work done by the men and women who serve: in our armed forces, our police and fire departments, and our hospitals. There are also many unsung heroes in jobs that are less than glamorous, but all workers contribute to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. Have a safe and happy Labor Day from all of us at

Best regards,

Debbie Gregory, CEO

USC Price School

Earn an MPA Online from USC Price School

Much like military professionals, graduates of the University of Southern California’s Online Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at Price School of Public Policy are unique because they don’t just want the world to be a better place - they roll up their sleeves and jump right in. Our Online MPA program teaches students to deal professionally in tough situations under pressure. And it trains them to think for themselves when designing solutions to those situations; not just to not to necessarily take a prescribed methodology, but to be entrepreneurial—be a leader, think innovatively, take a risk, accept responsibility. To build a reputation that lasts, follow our lead. USC Price School of Public Policy is ranked #4 for Public Affairs - U.S. News & World Report (2017). Earn an MPA Online from USC Price School.

Healing Heroes

Supporting Military Children and Families Coping with a Wound from Service

The award-winning Healing Heroes interactive book helps children and families of wounded service members to deal with the feelings, changes and challenges they face because of their loved one's service-related injury. It combines educational narrative, conversation starters, activities, and journal-style pages to help children (ages 6-13) appreciate their military family, explore their feelings, ask questions, confront their concerns, and find ways to feel better when they are down. Kids become the co-author of their book and it can be a powerful tool in their healing process as it opens lines of communication while supporting children and family with information and suggestions of healthy ways to cope and move forward. “Honest, direct, helpful, therapeutic, and above all a priceless aid to military children. This book belongs with each and every parent, health provider, therapist, or teacher seeking ways to support children in coping with a loved one wounded in service."

Burial with Honor

Burial with Honor

Helping Veteran Service Organizations

Members of the United States military commit to a life of service, dedication, and sacrifice.  These heroes have earned the right to be buried with military honors. Unfortunately, many honor guards lack the funds and resources necessary to properly say farewell to these men and women.  Operation Honor Guard, NFP provides charitable assistance to organizations that provide military funerals for veterans and service members.  Many veterans service organizations are struggling to make ends meet and funding an honor guard detail takes money away from day to day operational expenses.  The mission of Operation Honor Guard is simple:  they want to outfit all honor guards throughout the U.S.  They will be holding their annual Day of Giving on Oct. 11th.  Donations may be made online at  Operation Honor Guard is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
