Tell a Friend

I’m proud to be part of the America Salutes You team. We are producing a nationally televised benefit concert honoring those who serve, past and present and their loved ones. This concert will raise awareness and hopefully funds for some of the extraordinary non-profits that assist our military and veterans. If you are a corporation or foundation interested in learning about sponsorship opportunities, please contact me. Giving back to those who serve provides us with the opportunity to express our appreciation to the 1% who serve and write a blank check, made payable to the United States of America for an amount up to and including their lives.

Best regards,

Debbie Gregory, CEO

During These Tough Times

Words of Encouragement

Words of Encouragement

It’s no secret that our country is currently going through some tough times. The moral, racial, economic and political climate has had a polarizing effect on some, but for many, it has been unifying, bringing out the best in humanity.  Our friend and the founder of Give an Hour and the Campaign to Change Direction, Barbara Van Dahlen, has written a powerful piece for the Huffington Post. In it, Dr. Van Dahlen shares our sadness, but also shares her insights as to how we move past this. She offers sage advice as to what each one of us can do to effect positive change. Donate Your Miles

When a family member is wounded, injured or ill, your first thought is how quickly can you get to your loved one.  However, last minute plane tickets can be extremely expensive for families.  This is where Fisher House Foundation’s Hero Miles program steps in.  The Hero Miles program provides round-trip airline tickets to wounded, injured and ill service members, veterans and their loved ones as they travel for medical treatment. To date, Hero Miles has provided more than 58,000 tickets, valued at almost $88 million, to wounded and ill service members and their families. Flights are made possible through donations of frequent flyer miles by the public, and the program is currently in dire need of donations.  Even 1,000 miles will make a significant difference to support a military family.  To learn more about the program, its airline partners, and how to make a donation, click here.
