Tell a Friend

As Independence Day is just over a week away, the spectacle of 4th of July serves as a reminder to celebrate our democracy and to reaffirm our commitment to freedom and liberty. We have the freedom to voice our opinions, even if they differ from someone else’s. The tragedy of the terrorist attack in Orlando strengthens our resolve that we will not conform to or give in to threats designed to undermine our way of life. Our all-volunteer military and first responders consistently put themselves between everyday citizens and harm’s way. Let’s remember to keep them and their families in our thoughts and deeds.

Best regards,

Debbie Gregory, CEO

Saluting a Hero

Lives Saved in Orlando

This well-trained Marine veteran’s instincts helped saved many, many lives in the attack on Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Pulse bouncer Imran Yousuf’s first instinct was to escape. But he wasn’t just thinking of himself; he wanted to get as many people out of harm’s way as he could. Through his heroic deeds and grace under pressure, Yousuf managed to open a backdoor that led out into the street, evacuating more than 60 people. After he got them out, he carried the injured to ambulances outside. To read more, click here.

America’s MIAs

As of today America has an astonishing 82,729 Missing in Action (MIA) servicemen.
