I want to express our concern for our neighbors who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. Relief organizations like the American Red Cross are deploying resources to the communities affected by the storm, and the most effective way to help those in need is by making a financial contribution to those efforts by clicking here.

As we approach Veterans Day on November 11th, MilitaryConnection.com honors and thanks America's Veterans. On this day we come together to pay tribute to those who have served our nation, past and present. We appreciate all of the sacrifices made so that we can enjoy the freedoms we hold dear. There are a number of special offerings for Veterans that we hope you will check out here.

I would like to join our grateful nation in extending our heartfelt gratitude to the first responders, National Guard, and Reserve forces for their brave assistance in aiding those affected in the storm areas.

Warm regards,

Debbie Gregory, CEO

Vets Can Save

Vets Can Save

"VA. FHA. APR. 5/1 ARM. Closing Costs. NO Closing Costs." What do these terms mean? Our friends at Vets Can Save want to help you navigate the confusing landscape of mortgage options available today. Mortgage loan rates have been steadily dropping to depths we’ve never seen before, making now the best time to buy a home or refinance an existing mortgage. VetsCanSave clients benefit from an additional mortgage management program called ArcLoan®. Arc (Automatic Rate Cut) allows veterans to take advantage of interest rate cycles by lowering their mortgages for little to no cost when rates fall, increasing savings and reducing debt. If we cannot, we want to educate and point the way, within our best ability.” For information with no obligation, click here.

The Yellow Birds

The Yellow Birds

Poet and solider Kevin Powers’s THE YELLOW BIRDS is a breathtaking account of friendship and loss. Told from a young man’s point of view, The Yellow Birds captures the emotional and physical experience of soldiers in that strange and difficult war, trying to evade death and keep one another safe. The novel’s intimacy, immediacy, and beauty completely is astounding. The scenes in which the young soldier tries to reconnect with life and family after his return to the United States are every bit a harrowing as the actual combat. We invite you to read an excerpt from The Yellow Birds by clicking here.
